Values

LGBTQ+ Welcome

Cooper Therapy is a proud LGBTQ+ owned business dedicated to offering quality mental health care to all individuals, ensuring that one's identity does not hinder access to therapy and acceptance. We understand that therapy can seem intimidating, and by identifying ourselves as an affirming LGBTQ+ space, we aim to make your experience more comfortable, without the guesswork. Our mission at Cooper Therapy is help you feel recognized and supported throughout your unique journey, while promoting acceptance, belonging, and community.

Trauma-Informed

Cooper Therapy's approach is trauma-informed, recognizing that every individual's journey is shaped by their past experiences. By prioritizing safety, trust, and empowerment, we can create a nurturing environment where clients can explore their healing path at their own pace. Through compassionate understanding and evidence-based techniques and training, we strive to support clients in navigating the complexities of their trauma, fostering resilience, and empowering them to reclaim control over their lives.

Neurodiversity-Informed

Our therapy approach is neurodiversity-informed. Through extensive training, acknowledging and celebrating the unique strengths and challenges of every individual's neurocognitive differences. By embracing diversity and promoting inclusion, we create a supportive environment where clients can explore their identities and experiences without judgment. Through personalized strategies and collaborative exploration, we aim to empower clients to embrace their neurodiversity, cultivate self-awareness, and navigate the world on their own terms.

Non-Judgemental

Our therapy approach is grounded in a non-judgmental ethos, recognizing and respecting the diverse perspectives and experiences of each individual. Regardless of your beliefs, upbringing or appearance, Cooper Therapy provide a safe and accepting space where clients can freely express themselves without fear of criticism or condemnation. Through empathy, validation, and unconditional positive regard, we strive to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding, empowering clients to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings with authenticity and confidence.
